With all of the impeachment talk and President Donald Trump, it’s Joe Biden that’s getting hurt the most. His lead in the RCP average of national polls is down to 2.2 points:
While Trump dominates the news, Joe Biden is rapidly losing his lead in the Democratic race. In RCP average of national polls, Biden lead Aug 1 was 15.6 points. Sept 1 13.5 points. Sept 15 9.7 points. Today: 2.2 points. https://t.co/5mxCW6b5Vb pic.twitter.com/132R97Kxpd

But the bad news for team Trump is that “impeachment support is rising” as well as “support for removing trump”:
USA Today/IPSOS Poll:
45% of Americans support impeaching Trump compared to 38% who oppose.
Even more importantly, 44% support the Senate *removing* Trump from office against 35% who oppose.
Impeachment support is rising, but it appears support for removing Trump is as well.

And he’s losing independents on this as well:
USA Today/IPSOS Poll:
Among independents, 29% feel there is reliable evidence to impeach compared to 34% who say no.However, those independents support impeaching Trump by a 37-33 margin.
Independent support for removing Trump actually increases to 37-31.
Bad signs for Trump.

There’s an expected partisan split on the acts of the whistleblower:
USA Today/IPSOS Poll:
39% of Americans believe there is enough reliable evidence to impeach Trump, 36% do not.
44% believe the whistleblower is a patriot compared to 21% who say traitor. 36% of Republicans call them a traitor compared to 71% of Dems calling them a patriot.

But this poll as bad news for team Biden as well. 42% “believe there are valid reasons to look into the Bidens”:
USA Today/IPSOS Poll:
52% believe that Trump asking Ukraine to investigate Biden is an abuse of power compared to just 21% who don't.
That said, 42% believe there are valid reasons to look into the Bidens compared to 21% who do not.
Definitely an interesting pair of questions.

Sorry, Joe: this “story is not going to go away”:
USA Today/IPSOS Poll:
60% believe that the children of senior American officials should be prohibited from benefiting from their family relationships. While that also would include Trump's children, it's a good indicator that that Biden story is not going to go away.
