Of all the excerpts from the big James Comey interview tonight, this on the impeachment of the president is probably the only one that really stands out.
Here’s the former FBI director saying that he doesn’t believe Donald Trump should be impeached and that his fate should be left to the voters:
Comey says he hopes Trump isn’t impeached because that would “let the American people off the hook” — prefers they vote their values.

Keep in mind, this was after Comey said Trump was “morally unfit” for the office:
“I don’t think he’s medically unfit to be president. I think he’s morally unfit to be president” — @Comey on @ABC

And that there’s evidence he obstructed justice:
BREAKING: Ex-FBI Director James Comey says in ABC News interview that there's "certainly some evidence of obstruction" by Trump.
— The Associated Press (@AP) April 16, 2018
This refers to Michael Flynn and his false statements to the FBI:
COMEY: He had said, "[Flynn's] a good guy, I hope you can let it go," I think those are the exact words.
…
STEPHANOPOULOS: With that direction, was President Trump obstructing justice?
COMEY: Possibly. I mean, it's certainly some evidence of obstruction of justice.— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) April 16, 2018
Other issue Comey has with Trump:
Comey’s closing comment: “This president does not reflect the values of the country.” Tomorrow’s “executive time” will be ???

Comey cites Trump’s poor response to Charlottesville and says president treats women like “meat” https://t.co/C6vPlLx5rl

“Collusion” was barely mentioned during the interview:
James Comey only mentions "collusion" two times in the #ComeyInterview, mentions "obstruction of justice" 13 times.

And it’s a “dangerous time for our country”:

But with that said, no impeachment? “This is kind of significant,” to say the least:

It really is and Dems will probably be outraged by it come tomorrow.
