DHS Sec. John Kelly 'sorta' channels Col. Jessup during oversight hearing

Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly testified this morning in front of the House Homeland Security Committee where he defended President Trump’s executive order on immigration as  “lawful and constitutional” but also admitted that its implementation should have been delayed:

Sec. Kelly also fought back against criticism that travelers weren’t treated properly when they arrived at U.S. airports:

Later, Sec. Kelly, who let’s not forget is a retired Marine Corps general, testified on the ongoing court case over the EO, calling judicial decisions on national security matters “academic” and that “in their courtrooms, [judges are] protected by people like me”:
