When I read the story below I also thought of JB Pritzker, Nancy Pelosi and many others who fall into the "____ for me but not for thee" category.
There's a heatwave in Europe that, of course, has provided the Democrats and their media allies with the annual opportunity to push climate change alarmism. However, over there, air conditioning is rationed. This perfectly encapsulates the mindset of the elite political class all around the world, including in the U.S.:

The European Commission’s headquarters was forced to shut down its air-conditioning system on Friday due to the heat wave.
Staff working at the Berlaymont building received a text at midday, reading: “BERL — URGENT — Due to extreme weather conditions, forced shut down of air cooling system from floor 1 to 7 for the rest of the day.”
The 13-story building is home to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, her 26 commissioners and about 3,000 staff. Von der Leyen works on the 13th floor, and most of her commissioners’ offices are housed on floors eight or above.

That mindset couldn't have been made more clear in the U.S. than in 2020, when Dems like JB Pritzker told everybody to stay home while they were jetting off to second homes and Nancy Pelosi could still get her hair done even though salons had been shut down. Don't think for a second that if those Dems had their "Green New Deal" and took your air conditioner they wouldn't still be staying nice and cool in the summertime.
