The Democrats continuing to try and blame Trump for the Schumer shutdown all while saying the Republican budget will make Americans' health care coverage even more expensive than it already is.
In the last few weeks I've had the same reaction to Democrats saying health care costs far too much that many others have:
Did the "Affordable Care Act" not make health care more affordable? Please explain. https://t.co/yxrOCZwp6h

That spin from Democrats has gotten so ridiculous that even the Washington Post editorial board is pointing out what the Left hopes nobody has noticed by connecting the very simple dots:
This is an amazing sentence to see in a @wapo editorial. I am truly impressed. pic.twitter.com/l9E82bMl0X

The next thing you know the Post's editorial board that gave us this is going to point out that the "Inflation Reduction Act" didn't actually reduce inflation.
Yet Democrats have demanded that Republicans agree to extend the covid-era insurance subsidies without proposing any way to pay for it. The Congressional Budget Office estimates this will cost $350 billion over the next decade. These temporary benefits were included in the American Rescue Plan of March 2021 and extended the next year in the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act until the end of 2025.
The real problem is that the Affordable Care Act was never actually affordable. President Barack Obama’s signature achievement allowed people to buy insurance on marketplaces with subsidies based on their income. The architects of the program assumed that risk pools would be bigger than they turned out to be. As a result, policies cost more than expected.
The Democrats including the Rep who brought us "we have to pass it to find out what's in it" didn't completely think it through logically? Shocker.
I mean, the ciritics othe ACA when it was first passed predicted all of this, but nice to see the WaPo finally agreeing 15 years later. Timely.

Better late than never? Maybe. But it's maddening to see this being pointed out now by the same corporate media that helped Obama and the Dems sell the ACA to the public.
