After the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah this week, many Democrats, instead of calling on their own side to pour cold water on the ridiculous level of heated rhetoric about conservatives, decided it was best to blame Trump, Republicans and an absence of gun laws for the killing.
The Utah Democrats said the shooting means more gun laws are needed:
Our hearts are with Charlie Kirk, the students, and the entire UVU community after today’s tragic shooting. Gun violence has no place in our campuses or public spaces. We stand in solidarity with all impacted and call once again for common-sense gun safety laws.

Now we're learning more about the shooter and the weapon that was used.
Two Dem narratives have been put down. The first is their "weapons of war have no place on our streets" talking point. The gun used was a bolt action hunting rifle. Remember when Dems said "we're not coming for your hunting rifles or shotguns"? They won't either before too long.

The second point Dems are parroting is that more gun laws could have prevented this from happening.
