I've said repeatedly over the years that "climate change" has become a big thing among Democrats and the media, largely because it provides some manufactured cover for political incompetence and/or an excuse to print and spend money (or in the case of the media, get paid by "philanthropic organizations" to push the Left's propaganda).
The efforts to push climate change after natural disasters that are occasionally made worse by bureaucratic incompetence (or even more ironically the Left's actions they say were needed to mitigate the effects of climate change) are relentless. The Los Angeles County fires are no different:
2024 was the warmest year on record.

The last 10 years have been the 10 warmest on record.
We have seen unprecedented wildfires in California and Canada; unprecedented flooding in China; unprecedented drought in Brazil, Africa and elsewhere; unprecedented heat waves in Europe. https://t.co/7ET5hEXIiV
The media, as usual, proved they got the memo:
Climate change contributed to a week of wild weather that upended life in the US https://t.co/cej7DURJfk

L.A. fires show the reality of living in a world with 1.5°C of warminghttps://t.co/nj68YNmDDi

Despite all those efforts to convince the public that bad storms, fires, blizzards and hot summers happen because not enough money is being spent and shoveled to Democrat cronies, the issue of climate change doesn't come close to the top of the list of things that most concern voters.
CNN had some bad news for the fear mongers:

BREAKING: Americans do not blame wildfires on climate change - CNN
— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) January 13, 2025
"The searches for wildfires - up 2,400%. The most ever. Search for climate change? It went down 9%. In California, no increase in the search for climate change."

It seems that most people have caught on to the Democrat and media's attempts to distract them with a climate change boogeyman.
Americans aren't making the connection between the wildfires & climate change some would hope. While Google searches for wildfires are up 2,400%, searches for climate change are down 9%.

Indeed, the % of Americans worried a lot about climate change hasn't budged in 3 decades. pic.twitter.com/ZcooOqpcI0
The number hasn't budged in decades because after several cycles of failed "we're gonna die soon if we don't ____" predictions there's nobody buying it anymore.
Americans are very aware of failed Democrat policies leading to horrible outcomes.

No more blaming the weather.
That couldn't be clearer, especially in the wake of what we're learning about the actions (or lack thereof) of public officials in California.
The Left wants everybody to believe this is climate change:
Here is your “climate change-caused” fire. 🔥

The Palisades fire is now thought to be due to arson.

California politicians try to counter that by banning the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035 and hope everybody's stupid.
