At some point recently the Harris campaign realized that their attempt to run out the clock without either of their candidates doing interviews and press conferences wasn't going the way they'd hoped, so a change in strategy is taking place.
In addition to the scheduled softball interviews with people like Colbert and Howard Stern, Kamala Harris did a "60 Minutes" interview where it became clear to her advisers that this kind of thing isn't going to work either:
Kamala: "My plan is about saying when you invest in small businesses, you invest in the middle class."

CBS: "The question was how are you going to pay for it."
Kamala: "I'm going to make sure the richest among us pay their fair share in taxes."
CBS: "But we're dealing with the… pic.twitter.com/HVrKYm2iqQ
When you get beyond the empty words the Kamala campaign has drilled into her head, Harris is completely out of her depth.
Then there's Tim Walz, who was recently interviewed by Fox News' Shannon Bream. You can tell Harris and Walz aren't used to the fact-check hammer being used against them:
Walz: President Trump wants a 20% sales tax.

Bream: "That is a tariff which, by the way, this administration not only kept most of the Trump tariffs, but they added their own as well."pic.twitter.com/np1uvj4Wc8
Bream also called out Walz's BS about abortion and Timmy looked so uncomfortable he'd rather have deployed to Iraq than face that grilling.
I've started to watch the political betting markets a bit more lately just to see what people are doing not with their rhetoric, but with their money.
In the gambling world it's looking like the more Harris and Walz get "out there," the worse their odds of winning get, and they keep getting worse:
Trump's lead is up to 8.6% in the odds today.

He's nearing his biggest lead since Kamala Harris entered the race. pic.twitter.com/PpJtjyxnZ0
This forecast (based on placed bets, not polling) was Harris +4 just two weeks ago. https://t.co/VTiOHqIIMq

When it comes to Pennsylvania the betting market has moved even more towards Trump:
Trump has opened up an 11 point lead over Kamala in Pennsylvania gambling markets. This is the biggest lead Trump has had over Kamala since she ascended to the nomination back in late July. pic.twitter.com/OpUE4NzI06

Seinfeld was a "show about nothing" and the Democrats were hoping a "campaign about nothing" would fly. So far that doesn't appear to be the case.

Speaking of TV shows, any early Gen-Xer like me will remember Johnny Bravo from the original Brady Bunch. Record execs tried to turn Greg into a rock star just because he "fit the suit" and it was a massive failure. This is the same thing the Dems are trying to do with Kamala Harris and the result might be exactly the same. I'd be willing to bet that will be the case.
