As everybody knows, it's been decided that Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential race just a couple of weeks before his party's convention in Chicago.
I say "it's been decided" because it isn't yet clear that the Bidens made the call. We might know more about that if Biden made the statement yesterday in person rather than via a statement on social media that wasn't even on White House letterhead.
It doesn't appear we're going to hear from Joe any time soon:

So are we ever going to see Biden again or will he go down in history as the D.B. Cooper of presidents? As of now the White House is still hiding behind the "he's got Covid" excuse (good thing he's been double vaxxed and quadruple boosted, or all this could have gone really bad).
Through all this mess, one thing is certain: Jill Biden was NOT one of the people advising Joe to drop out of the race, even at this late hour.

I was reminded of the current, soon to be former, first lady, when reading this Associated Press spin about Biden and his "accomplishments":
President Biden's record includes legislation that will rebuild the country in ways that will likely be seen over the next dozen years, even if voters did not immediately appreciate it. https://t.co/JE1xAHjbo9

"Even if voters did not immediately appreciate it." That sounds so snippy that Jill Biden might have written it. But that's been the spin from this garbage fire of an administration the entire time: "Bidenomics" and the open border that accompanied it has created a national utopia, but Dems just can't convince voters." Now the media's going to be playing that game when looking back at Biden's years in the White House.
The AP again makes even North Korean state media look at them and say "maybe dial the propaganda back a bit so it isn't so obvious."
This is the AP's idea of voters "not immediately appreciating" Biden's greatness, and it reportedly forced Biden to drop out. Or, more accurately put, forced somebody to force Biden to drop out:
After digesting the polling data late on Saturday, Biden changed his mind. He gathered his senior White House and campaign team for a call shortly before 1:45 p.m. on Sunday and moments later made his announcement public in a letter to all Americans.
One source said top aides showed Biden internal polling with the jarring news on Saturday night that he was not just trailing in all six critical swing states that could decide the election but also collapsing in places like Virginia and Minnesota where Democrats had not planned on needing to spend massive resources.
Biden has been a disaster, and it shows, but the media will continue to do their thing. If Kamala Harris is the Dem nominee she'll bring more of the same, if not worse -- unburdened by what has been.
