The Biden White House's social media team should be thanked for giving the Internet what was perhaps the most mocked post of the week. Here it is:
I'm sick
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 17, 2024
So are we, Joe... so are we.
Everybody knows that Jill Biden probably had Joe tucked into bed at their Delaware beach house before Hulk Hogan spoke at the GOP convention, but whoever runs the @JoeBiden account thought it would be fun to pretend the president was up late and watched Trump's speech.
I’m stuck at home with COVID, so I had the distinct misfortune of watching Donald Trump’s speech to the RNC.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024
What the hell was he talking about?
Our own Sam Janney cracked the code in figuring out how to know Biden didn't personally write that post:
Dear Joe’s Intern Who Wrote This,
— The🐰FOO (@PolitiBunny) July 20, 2024
If Joe had really written this is would read as follows:
I PUT NATO TOGETHER … trumpisheneZATaroo … I like pancakes … my vp, what’s her name? That black woman? Where’s my jello?
And God save the queen!
If you’re going to pretend to be him… https://t.co/ONCNCv1h4t
The @JoeBiden thread attempting to debunk Trump's speech is full of the same lies Team Biden has been telling for a long time now. Case in point:

Let’s start with this. Donald said he “did a great job” with COVID.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024
Folks, this is the same guy who told us to inject bleach while over a million Americans died.pic.twitter.com/Ex0dOgPHqV
This one's my favorite:
He praised Hannibal Lecter.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024
Donald, Hannibal Lecter is not real. And he is a cannibal.pic.twitter.com/8BwtOnIDoV
Sure, Joe (or whoever wrote that). Hannibal Lecter is not a real cannibal, unlike the one who dined on your uncle? Right?
Biden's also losing union support, so they felt compelled to play the "working class Joe" shtick again:
He attacked unions, and it’s not the first time. Not even close.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024
I’m the most pro-worker president in history. Donald doesn’t know a damn thing about protecting workers and their rights.
He should be ashamed.
The Teamsters' president just spoke at the RNC convention and the head of the United Auto Workers not long ago admitted that, while the UAW leadership endorsed Biden, "a great majority of our members" won't vote for him:
One more lie from that Biden thread? Sure, why not!
Here it is:
He said he’ll end the “electric vehicle mandate” on day one.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024
Donald, there is no electric car mandate.
And American manufacturing is booming under my administration.
They really hope everybody's stupid, and judging from Biden's approval rating that is circling the drain, that's not the case.
This seems…a curious interpretation…

Your EPA is telling manufacturers that 50-66% of new cars must be electric by 2032. Therefore, a gov’t mandate. LOL.
— Gabriella Hoffman (@Gabby_Hoffman) July 20, 2024
What infrastructure will support this mandate? Your DOT can’t even build charging stations (private stations not used much) and you refuse to domestically mine. https://t.co/lXsMEYRiTP
All these people do is lie. But while some press office interns were writing Biden's posts, I hope the president was sleeping soundly through Trump's speech.
