We've gone from all the defenders of President Biden insisting he's sharp as a tack to what everybody saw with their own eyes at the debate, and I've never seen a gaslighting effort extinguished so quickly.
The White House is still in spin mode and Biden will be doing a recorded interview with Democrat operative poorly disguised as an ABC News' "journalist," George Stephanopoulos. That interview will air at 8 p.m. tonight, possibly because the WH and ABC News knows nobody wants to watch an interview with Joe Biden on a holiday weekend.
Politico has an article titled "Nine questions Stephanopoulos should ask Joe Biden," but in actuality what would be most revealing is if there were no actual questions. George should just hand the president a pad of paper and a pencil, then tell him to draw a clock. But that would never happen, and everybody knows why.
How did we get here? Mostly the media, who are trying their best to drag Biden across the finish line, accusing the Right of a "disinformation campaign" about Joe via "cheap fake" videos. Those were of course merely actual videos of Biden that show how feeble he's gotten.
The examples of that media effort are many, but I'll single out CBS News because their propaganda effort to cover for Biden was particularly egregious.

This is from just two weeks ago:
Misleading video clips of President Biden watching a skydiving demonstration at the G7 summit in Italy went viral last week, prompting the White House to say Biden is victim to a simpler version of "deepfakes." So, what are "cheap fakes"?

As Joe Concha notes here, there will be no apologies, just like "Hunter Biden's laptop is disinformation" and "Russia collusion":

The old saying of "no matter how much you hate the media, it isn't enough" holds true.
The part that should be the most embarrassing for CBS News (if they were capable of that emotion) was when they had to pull a video condemning the Right for sharing "cheap fakes." Why was it pulled? Because CBS's own video was, in essence, a "cheap fake."
An earlier post was removed as it included the wrong version of a video. This version has been updated to include the correct clip and label on the edited video.

They will of course learn nothing from this and just move on to the next piece of propaganda designed to help the Democrats.
The fact that so many people still take these "news" outlets seriously helps explain the condition the country has descended into these last few years.
