Ever since President Biden's debate performance that was an epic disaster, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has been continuing to do her thing (lying like crazy) to try and convince everybody that all is well, and Joe Biden continues to lead the country effectively.
So far there are even a couple dozen Democrats who don't believe that and know Biden on the top of the ticket is killing their reelection chances:
At least 25 House Democrats are preparing to call for the 81-year-president to end his re-election bid in the wake of his disastrous debate against former President Donald Trump, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a House Democratic aide.
Centrist House Democrats in competitive districts – the lawmakers most at risk of losing their seats in November – were so alarmed by Biden’s infirmed appearance in last week’s showdown with the 78-year-old presumptive Republican nominee that they are considering writing a letter to Biden, according to the outlet.
It's definitely not looking good for a lot of Democrats, even though Biden staying at the top of the ticket is what the Republicans certainly want to happen.
Add it all up and I ran across some proof from a little over four years ago that Karine Jean-Pierre is exactly the spokesperson Biden needs at this point:

This could be KJP's third go at working for a presidential campaign that's sinking into the abyss, and her Salon article from 2020 concludes this way:
It is so easy to become jaded in politics and cynical about politicians. You begin to feel dirty just thinking about the endless "dialing for dollars," the trade-offs, the lobbyists, the favor exchanges, the media spin, the quid pro quo. So I end this cautionary tale on "flawed candidates" with this warning: believe in the mission, not the messenger.
Yeah, well Biden might be an incoherent messenger who has been a serial liar his entire political career, but his "mission" sucks too, and everybody can fell that now. KJP's trying to gaslight her way through a double-whammy here, but a fat contract with MSNBC awaits at some point which is probably the only thing keeping her going. After all, repeatedly demonstrating that you're willing to sell your dignity for a price is an MSNBC (or CNN, WaPo, etc.) job requirement.
