When I was in high school there were many warnings about a coming ice age and global cooling.
Since then, the "science" did a one-eighty, and global warming was the new hotness. That of course soon became "climate change" so both warm and cold weather events could be put under the same umbrella to try and convince everybody that your hamburgers, gas-powered cars and lawnmowers are creating an existential threat to humanity while John Kerry's use of private jets is critical to staving off the worst effects of our dependence on fossil fuels:
Who knew that hypocrisy could fight climate change!?
In any case, Kerry will be proud of the media for helping push more climate change panic and move the goalposts yet again.
If you're keeping track, a new doomsday date has dropped and the Washington Post is happy to help shovel the BS:
Scientists used to avoid phrases like “climate emergency” and “climate crisis.” No longer.

Escalating rhetoric comes as a new study shows there’s just six years left to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius at current CO2 emissions rate. https://t.co/fQH98wa7Hz
The Associated Press is in on the hot new death deadline as well:
In early 2029, Earth will likely lock into breaching key warming threshold, scientists calculate https://t.co/x0ODzdqjUl

How many of these dates have come and gone in the last 30-40 years or so? I'm still waiting for the ice age I was promised decades ago.
There’s only six years left, guys

When did they avoid calling it a “Climate crisis”, exactly? https://t.co/RU5y6wgvZz pic.twitter.com/jY6wjaDwQs
Yeah, "climate emergency" is all I've been hearing for years and years as well and just now the media's pretending they've never used that alarmist rhetoric before?
Just stop.

“Escalating rhetoric” doesn’t change that you all have blabbered about the end of the planet since the 1980s and according to Saint Greta we all died this year. 👇
It juvenile, tiresome, and counterproductive to keep replaying Chicken Little. Grow up. pic.twitter.com/OgFSHmhwii
We've already died at least a dozen times since the 1980s.
As usual, the "solution" is to let the Democrats print and spend trillions of dollars on their pet shams where people like Gore and Kerry get richer and you end up paying ten bucks for a loaf of bread.
Is it hot in here or are they crazy?
