Anybody who shops for groceries, pays the utility bills and puts gas in their car knows the economy isn't doing well at all, but of course the Biden White House and the press office gaslighters who run his social media accounts are hoping everybody's stupid:
We're living through one of the greatest job creation periods in American history.

Folks, this just didn’t happen. Together, we made it happen. pic.twitter.com/DlUnpcudon

Now, that kind of lying is to be expected from the bunch that's in the White House, but Biden can also rest easy knowing he's got so many in the media and also a New York Times Nobel Laureate economist helping out.
Not only does Paul Krugman agree with the White House's gaslighting about the economy, but he's baffled as to why more people can't see how great everything's going:
“The economic data have been just surreally good. Even optimists are just stunned,” says Nobel Prize-winning economist @paulkrugman. So why do polls show most Americans don’t think the economy is doing well? “There’s a really profound and peculiar disconnect going on.” pic.twitter.com/MNFhzZ2hh3

Does this guy really believe that or know he's lying but can't bring himself to admit Biden's a disaster?
Tell me you don't buy your own groceries without telling me that

Kind of like this disconnect? pic.twitter.com/0qJV65T2nB

Remember when Trump won the 2016 election and Krugman predicted the markets would never recover? Good times.

In any case, reality tells a different story than the one Krugman's pushing:
Incomes fell in 2022 and more people fell into poverty after the end of pandemic benefits like stimulus checks. https://t.co/0AUYOy37Iu

"Bidenomics," baby!
Oh there's definitely a disconnect happening https://t.co/AjGFLWYWSZ pic.twitter.com/oS2Ceugf3z

There's definitely a "disconnect," and it's coming from people like Krugman.
“Another month of accelerating inflation.” “Quicker than economists had expected.” Time for another round of articles and Sunday-show segments asking why the public isn’t exhibiting unalloyed joy at the glorious state of the economy. https://t.co/JUpjTpB30t

The economic weather must still be pretty good inside the elitist bubble.

Joining Krugman in the gaslighting effort is CNN:

THIS. Is CNN... and Paul Krugman.
But it doesn’t matter because the cost of living has never been so high. Salaries haven’t kept up with inflation.
