When it comes to helping the Democrats push their Florida/DeSantis “Don’t Say Gay law” narrative few media outlets have done as much heavy lifting as the Associated Press.
The AP’s approach has been to report the Parental Rights in Education law as “the law critics call ‘Don’t Say Gay'”:
BREAKING: The administration of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is moving to forbid classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades, expanding the current so-called “Don't Say Gay” law. https://t.co/Z34qqkFfXf

An expansion of Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law requested by Gov. Ron DeSantis has been approved by Florida's Board of Education. The expansion bans classroom instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades https://t.co/FPB3BPplpK

BREAKING: Disney is suing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the Republican’s takeover of its theme park district, alleging that the governor waged a “targeted campaign of government retaliation” after the company opposed a law critics call “Don’t Say Gay.” https://t.co/b1Oi84myz9

Fast forward to this week, and contrast all the Florida “Don’t Say Gay” stories with something different that the AP is also reporting:
Central Florida is about to become a hub of LGBTQ+ life. That's because tens of thousands of people are flocking to the area’s theme parks and hotels this week during the decades-long tradition known as Gay Days. https://t.co/98UneK7IIh

One of these things is not like the other…
Wait, you can say gay?
— JWF (@JammieWF) June 1, 2023
It’s almost like all that “Don’t Say Gay” hyperventilating was BS the whole time.
Fascist hellscape or gay utopia. The media really needs to pick a lane. https://t.co/ysZHDAXXcY

But wait I thought it was illegal in Florida to even say gay or some such nonsense https://t.co/eyaesC6YaS
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) June 1, 2023
The media certainly needs to pick an angle and stick with it, because we got dizzy from that fast pivot.
Florida is both fascist enemy of alternative lifestyles and friendly home to gay traditions.. at the same time.

The AP certainly has all the bases covered.
But it is so dangerous there for gay people! I am very concerned about their safety!

That will really show DeSantis!

Didn’t all the people who will be traveling to Florida hear about the travel advisories? It’s almost as if everybody knows that was a total politically-driven joke.
