As you know, every holiday season brings with it busybody attempts to lecture Americans about what their celebrations should and should not include. This year’s batch of efforts to induce shame include sounding the alarm about climate change, and if going meatless for Thanksgiving will ever sweep the nation:

The responses are isolated and anecdotal evidence to be sure, but if they provide any indication, the answer to “will Americans ever go meat-free for Thanksgiving” is a combination of “resounding no” and “mind your own business”:
