On Thursday, the Democrat-controlled House voted to begin a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump. There was no Republican support for the measure. Alyssa Milano, who offered her legal expertise during the Brett Kavanaugh hearing last year, offered this analysis of Thursday’s House vote, specifically as it pertains to Republicans:
The Republicans keep screaming, “due process”!
Literally 100% of the GOP members of the house voted AGAINST due process today in the #ImpeachmentVote.
IMPEACHMENT IS DUE PROCESS.

Milano won over many with that, but others were left scratching their heads:
I don't think you, @Alyssa_Milano, know what due process is.

I don’t think you know what “due process” means

This week the takes from the Left have been hotter than ever. And by “hot” we mean not really thought through.
Due process is the discovery of evidence and the cross examination of the witness by the defense etc. etc. Alyssa stop trying to appear smart. https://t.co/AESGaLC7fZ

You really don't understand the term, so maybe stay in your lane, okay?

Due process- fair treatment through the normal judicial system, especially as a citizen's entitlement. And you say impeachment is due process. Wrong. Not even close. You are awarded no points.#ImpeachmentResolution #ImpeachmentInquiry #ImpeachmentVote https://t.co/cLltkNBRDD
