As we told you Wednesday, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell was forced to admit that his big “scoop” a day earlier was bogus:
Last night I made an error in judgment by reporting an item about the president’s finances that didn’t go through our rigorous verification and standards process. I shouldn’t have reported it and I was wrong to discuss it on the air. I will address the issue on my show tonight.

As promised, O’Donnell addressed it on his show Wednesday night:

O’Donnell and MSNBC framed it as a retraction, but O’Donnell also said that “we don’t know if the information is inaccurate” and his original tweet (with over 37,000 retweets) remains. Does that seem like a total apology?
“I should not have said it on air or posted to twitter”

That doesn’t REALLY seem like an apology.
Another dishonest Russia smear by a major media outlet of @RealDonaldTrump. Nothing like it in American history. https://t.co/azfOaRCgkK

And you wonder why people hate reporters and the media.

It’s a total mystery!
This whole story deserved the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” treatment:
Watch this an laugh very hard.
What a clown show establishment media is.

We’re at least confident that Alyssa Milano will buy O’Donnell’s version of things.
