SHOCKER: Lawrence O'Donnell retracts Trump loan story on air (but STILL won't say it's inaccurate)

As we told you Wednesday, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell was forced to admit that his big “scoop” a day earlier was bogus:

As promised, O’Donnell addressed it on his show Wednesday night:

O’Donnell and MSNBC framed it as a retraction, but O’Donnell also said that “we don’t know if the information is inaccurate” and his original tweet (with over 37,000 retweets) remains. Does that seem like a total apology?

That doesn’t REALLY seem like an apology.

It’s a total mystery!

This whole story deserved the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” treatment:

We’re at least confident that Alyssa Milano will buy O’Donnell’s version of things.
