Anti-Trump man who yelled 'Heil Hitler, Heil Trump' in theater says his frustration with the president 'just came out wrong'

As Twitchy told you yesterday, a man at a Baltimore performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” stood up in the middle of the play and shouted, “Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!” He was then escorted out. A CNN reporter’s tweet about the incident got over 10,000 retweets and many blue checks shared it, assuming the man was a Trump supporter. However, the man was actually protesting Trump, and follow-up tweets containing that detail didn’t even come close to going viral.

The man who shouted those awful things tried to explain himself to local media:

From WBAL:

At the end of Act 1, Derlunas, from his seat in the balcony, shouted “Heil Hitler, Heil Trump.”

“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed and disgusted with myself. I didn’t think at the time about my frustrations with President Trump and I was trying to compare Trump to Hitler because he plays into the fears of people and it just came out wrong,” Derlunas said.

“Just came out wrong”?

One thing’s for sure: The fact that the man is anti-Trump caused the MSM to lose interest a lot faster.
