On Wednesday, the White House announced that John Brennan’s security clearance was being revoked, and the former CIA chief did NOT like it.
DERP STATE: John Brennan's attempt to turn losing a clearance into a free speech issue is a BIG TIME fail https://t.co/IYqddDGYM8

Brennan tried to turn it into a free speech issue and vowed that he wouldn’t be silenced:
This action is part of a broader effort by Mr. Trump to suppress freedom of speech & punish critics. It should gravely worry all Americans, including intelligence professionals, about the cost of speaking out. My principles are worth far more than clearances. I will not relent. https://t.co/TNzOxhP9ux

NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell reported the media response this way:
All 3 networks leading evening news with what they call unprecedented White House attempt to silence critic @JohnBrennan

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson reminded the media and Brennan that he hasn’t been silenced in the least, and certainly isn’t a victim:
Remember @JohnBrennan is many things but he's not an ordinary "critic." His greatest hits include misleading Senate intel Democrats about his CIA "spying" on Congress- and "got away with it." He's now a TV news analyst. https://t.co/xWweLZ8W7L https://t.co/M3t3cZEiBr

"Silencing" @JohnBrennan would mean — well– making it where he couldn't be a TV personality or removing him from Twitter and social media or hitting him with an injunction. I don't think that's happened (nor should it). He isn't silenced.

Excellent points! Brennan’s loud alarm about being “silenced” is incredibly ironic, especially considering we don’t expect him to shut up any time in the foreseeable future.
Clearly, that's the "talking point" that went out on alert. Sadly, they're reliant on citizens who don't understand security privileges or constitutional amendments.

NEVER count on the MSM to provide the full story.
And yet, MSM wonders why they cannot be trusted.
— Steve Mayer (@SteveMayer7) August 16, 2018
They’re baffled!
I'm guessing "all three networks" will fail to enlighten their acolytes with the facts of his history and would rather paint this as "silencing".
Point is "all three networks" have worn out their welcome. https://t.co/ff9kVIWaMN— J'angel (@jsl909) August 16, 2018
FTM: Follow the Money! It DOES mean he can no longer sell his "security clearance" and access to American government records and secrets to people who hire him!

He’s as silenced as you and I without a security clearance. The media is up in arms because they just lost their leaks.
— Molly Martinez (@MollyDiamond28) August 16, 2018
Silenced? I think NOT.
Quite a loud platform he has been given for months by our media.
You're right, @SharylAttkisson https://t.co/q7FrnbAZzu— DeplorableLynn? (@DemelzaDon) August 16, 2018
Brennan will be a Resistance cable news darling for a long time now.
