EARTH in the balance! Al Gore implores Senate to reject Mike Pompeo nomination (guess why)

The confirmation hearing for Mike Pompeo to become the next U.S. Secretary of State begins today, and Al Gore has already sounded a familiar alarm:

Senators should reject Mike Pompeo’s nomination to be Secretary of State. He denies the climate crisis, and has been doing the bidding for fossil fuel interests his whole career. The American people deserve better.
