The article itself is from November, but perhaps USA Today thought recent glacial events along with the fact that it’s summertime made it worth re-upping for purposes of guilt assignment:

Think you aren’t personally responsible for climate change? Think again.

The average American causes about 600 square feet of Arctic sea ice to vanish each year, according to a study released Thursday, and something as simple as your summer road trip may be to blame.

Oddly enough they don’t examine how much of that ice “vanish” is due to vehicles delivering USA Today.
