There are multiple confirmation hearings going on in the U.S. Senate at the moment, and one of them is for Mike Pompeo, Donald Trump’s nominee to head up the CIA. However, the hearing hit a snag after the lights went out at a coincidental moment:
The lights & power went out at the CIA hearing just as Sen Mark Warner D-VA was talking about Russia & hacking

Lights still out at Pompeo hearing. Much milling around. Jokes that lights went out when Warner started talking Russia hacks. Which is true.

Lights out in the Intel Committee room for Pompeo's hearing. Went dark as Warner was discussing Russian hacking @rollcall @CQnow pic.twitter.com/ka0qTXfzHP

The hearing is being moved:
Lights still out so Burr is moving the hearing to a different room https://t.co/MlHox5Up6u

Lights still out at Pompeo CIA hearing. Intel chmn Burr says hearing will move rooms. 'We'll recess for relocation.'

Hopefully the lights stay on in the new room.
