Obama's shameless statement on Zimmerman verdict: 'Way to honor Trayvon' is to get moving on gun control

A statement from President Obama has been released regarding the trial of George Zimmerman, and naturally the White House took the occasion to express complete confidence in the American justice system push the Democrats’ gun control agenda:

As Obama’s former Chief of Staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel once said, “you never want a serious crisis go to waste.”

Was using the occasion to push for more gun control measures a pathetic attempt to play politics as tensions remain high in the country? Many tweeters thought so:

Obama’s statement seems to have left out somebody:

In President Obama’s statement, he said “we are a nation of laws and a jury has spoken.” But just in case, the Obama Justice Department is considering getting involved.
