The next day, during a joint press conference with the Israeli Prime Minister, Biden had the opportunity to take questions but obviously his staff screened reporters and probably even the questions as well to avoid any awkward moments:

Heaven forbid take a question from a reporter his staff didn’t approve of in advance. They wouldn’t want to have the Easter Bunny run onto the stage to rescue Biden!
Biden in Israel is calling on reporters from the list he was given, and appears to be reading his responses, which are short one or two sentence answers. So disappointing.
