President Trump’s late-night tweet about LeBron James and Don Lemon generated plenty of criticism (and questions about “Mike”), but former CBS Evening News anchor and the man many call the Godfather of Fake News, Dan Rather, also believes Trump’s tweet is racist:
This is apparently what the President of the United States feels the need to share with the world at what should be long past his bedtime? It's a disgrace. It's racist. And it's the product of petty but dangerous hatreds. I repeat this is the PRESIDENT??!? https://t.co/MA8nZUxFc7

Rather won applause from the Resistance, of course, but not everybody agreed with Rather’s “racist” accusation about Trump’s tweet:
The president has said worse things about men and women of all races. I know it's good to have a buzzword, but I'm not sure how you're going to make racism stick here. https://t.co/ZoguYlXCci

How is it racist?

Nothing in it says racist. He's allowed to express thoughts, opinions and share with whomever he chooses. Why? Because he can. What, it's not a "Presidential" thing to do? Oh my? Did you just express your opinion, Dan?

What was racist about that? https://t.co/oIdYseHV83

Dan, The President expressed an Opinion, just as You did! Expressing an Opinion does Not make One a Racist. You on the Left use Racism as the Fallback line when someone disagrees with your Liberal Point of View! https://t.co/zYsjZD0Lqg
