Wall Street Journal White House reporter Michael Bender appeared on CNN to talk guns, and a bunch of “fake news” was spotted:
Attention @MichaelCBender: You have your facts on automatic weapons ENTIRELY backward here https://t.co/TZwKFoNIeb

TOTAL fail. From the Washington Free Beacon:
Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender told a panel on CNN’s Inside Politics on Friday that fully automatic firearms produced after 1985 are legal to own in the United States—but the exact opposite is true.
[…]
Additionally, while bump fire and bump fire stocks provide some approximation of a fully automatic rate of fire, they do not, as Bender had claimed, convert semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic firearms.
Ironically, all that came during a segment where the reporter was calling out Republican (and certain NRA leaders’) ignorance about bump stocks.
@JohnKingCNN That idiot you had on talking like he knew what he was talking about didn't! https://t.co/DzdPWgxT3l https://t.co/mED98LyjBy

It's not about being pro-gun control or pro-guns or whatever. It's about being accurate on important issue. Media falling miserably short.
