Politifact can sometimes find ways to explain away liberal talking points so the lies don’t sound as big as they really are, but a claim Bernie Sanders made at Saturday night’s Democrat debate proved too much for the fact checkers to overcome:

The Sanders campaign might say Politifact’s ruling is incorrect and serves as clear evidence of the adverse effect climate change is having on our ability to reason. The science is settled.
