Some Republicans have suggested to Speaker of the House John Boehner that he shouldn’t invite President Obama to deliver the State of the Union address next month.

Boehner rejected that idea this way:
Boehner on SOTU: The more the president talks..the more unpopular he becomes. Why would I want to deprive him of that opportunity?
