'It's called winter': Bette Midler's 'climate change' message for people in south gets chilly reception

Bette Midler should go on the road with Politico’s Roger Simon, because they both think the ice and snow in the south is going to make more people start believing in global warming. Oops, we meant “climate change”:

If you live in The South and still believe Climate Change doesn't exist, wake up. And buy a snow shovel.

These tweeters are not among the converted Midler was hoping to “wake up”:

.@BetteMidler Savannah, GA got 18" of snow Jan 9-11…1800. Was that man-made "climate change," too? Or was it just…wait for it…winter?

It snowed more FL-GA in 1800, but Okay MT @BetteMidler If you live in The South and still believe Climate Change doesn't exist, wake up.

Has it never snowed in the South before?? MT @BetteMidler If you live in The South and still believe Climate Change doesn't exist, wake up.

Wait! I thought i was supposed to fear warming and the Polar ice caps melting? I guess global warming was so yesterday huh? @BetteMidler

@matthops82 Maybe @bettemidler should Google the Little Ice Age or, you know, study the American Revolution.

@BetteMidler if u did a song about climate change, it could be called "The Ruse"

— Claude (@cbiaget) January 29, 2014

@BetteMidler wait, what happened to Global Warming? Oh, I get it, now it's "climate change"…or as the rest of us call it winter.

Yep, it’s “global warming” in the summer, “climate change” in the winter.
