A few days ago, serial fabulist Aaron Rupar posted a clip of Sen. Jon Ossoff saying that President Donald Trump doesn’t want to do his job but wants to “travel with Natalie,” a bit of sleazy innuendo aimed at Trump aide Natalie Harp. Ossoff tried to walk back the remark, claiming it was a commentary about all of Trump's White House aides in general (even though he mentioned Harp by name).
Rupar managed to boost Ossoff's comment into the mainstream media, which saw CNN's Erin Burnett dig up Harp's estranged stoner brother for an interview. The media have managed to take Ossoff's distasteful slur and turn it into an opportunity to put a spotlight on Harp and what she actually does. What, exactly, does she do? The New York Times spoke with half a dozen people to get the answer.
Natalie Harp, the 35-year-old West Wing aide, is the utmost gatekeeper to President Trump. But what, exactly, does she do? Our reporters spoke with a half-dozen people with knowledge of Harp’s role. https://t.co/bI8vFaRRGw

Ah, I see Alinsky rules at the New York Times. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

I remember when you were journalists rather than propaganda wielding partisans.
Shawn McCreesh and Maggie Haberman (we'll get to her later) report:
She never takes a day off, not even on Sunday. She works out of the Oval Office and she’s got a regular seat on Marine One. She texts with world leaders on the president’s behalf. She stays up late with him drafting social media posts.
She rarely speaks on camera and yet she is never not there, ever-present with a wide smile and her eyes fixed on the president.
She is Natalie Harp, the 35-year-old West Wing aide who is the utmost gatekeeper to President Trump, a one-woman conduit of information operating entirely outside the usual chain of command. The public’s interest in Ms. Harp exploded after she was revealed last week to be one of the lucky few who joined the president inside an airplane catering container to be whisked out of Turkey under threat of attack by Iran.

"Lucky few." No, the public's alleged interest in Harp exploded with Rupar's video of Ossoff's off-color comment.
Though the post promises that The Times spoke with six people with knowledge of Harp's role, we read the whole piece and only found one. “Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team,” Karoline Leavitt told The Times. There's not even an anonymous source credited with calling her "a platinum blonde geyser of positivity."
Really? You needed to ask half a dozen people to find out what an aide does?

I knew you were retarded but damn!
I'm old enough to remember when there was a difference between The New York Times and Gawker.

OMG are you really stooping this low. Just say you’re a tabloid with saying you’re a tabloid. Geez shocking news…..Trumps Executive Assistant spend a lot of time with the Executive she is supposed to to be assisting? OMG!!! Pulitzer Prize winning journalism there.

Haberman already has her Pulitzer Prize.
Once upon a time some evidence of a scandal was needed for you all to kick into tabloid mode.

Now you do it because some doofus Dem Senator made a ghoulish comment about a bone cancer survivor.
There are no words for how despicable you all are.
We know the story that everyone is looking for. A boring senior exec and an attractive dutiful assistant is not as sensational.

I believe this is the journalistic equivalent to a death rattle.

Why are you going after this poor woman for simply doing her job?
— Wendy Kortepeter (@WKortepeter) August 19, 2026
Another editorial hit job masquerading as "news."
— Jeff Diecidue (@jeffdiecidue) August 19, 2026
Good to see this was a coordinated hit job with CNN, Ossoff, DNC and NYT. Who came up with the idea? @maggieNYT ? @MarkHalperin ?
— Seth Shurtleff (@shurtleffs) August 19, 2026
My goodness could you possibly get any more pathetic?

Good grief. You people are insufferable. The left hates beautiful successful women.

The BlueAnon World News is at it again

Disgusting misogyny. Be ashamed.

Trump should know better than to hire only ugly men as aides.
