As the Associated Press reports, "It was the perfect place to welcome the endorsement of the firefighters union — a gleaming new firehouse in a blue-collar town just outside of Detroit in the key battleground state of Michigan." On Friday, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris dropped by hoping to pick up the endorsement of the International Association of Fire Fighters.
However, the IAFF has decided not to endorse a candidate in 2024, despite endorsing Joe Biden in 2020.
