J.D. Vance wanted to make the facts clear about Springfield, Ohio, which has been overwhelmed with Haitian immigrants who were brought in via the CBP One app. For that, he got his microphone cut.
CBS just shut off Vance's mic for the crime of following the debate's rules and addressing a fact check. Oh, man. That is going to last.
— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz) October 2, 2024
Brennan fact-checks Vance -- and neglects the entire context. Vance calls her on it. So she shuts off the mics. Wow.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) October 2, 2024
Vance was making them panic because he was torpedoing their BS and they had to cut his mic. CBS is a joke.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) October 2, 2024
And after the rules were moderators wouldn't "fact check," Brennan just did and then cut off Vance's microphone when he called them out.
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) October 2, 2024
Lie about TPS by CBS. Vance explains. They lie again. Vance's microphone cut off.
— Phil Kerpen (@kerpen) October 2, 2024
The moderators keep asking Walz if he wants to rebut what Vance says.
— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) October 2, 2024
They don’t offer Vance the chance to do the same with Walz - instead the moderators ask Vance another question.
THEY SHUT VANCE'S MIC OFF.
— The🐰FOO (@PolitiBunny) October 2, 2024
Screw this debate.
Screw these hags.#VPDebate2024
JD Vance totally blows up the media Springfield narrative with some hard facts.
— Eli Steinberg (@HaMeturgeman) October 2, 2024
"I'm speaking." - Margaret Brennan.
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) October 2, 2024
Nope. Huge moderator mistake.
— Matt Whitlock (@mattdizwhitlock) October 2, 2024
You can't get facts wrong when fact-checking (after promising no fact-checking) then cut off the candidates microphones when they're setting the record straight.
That question on the legal status of migrants is super important.
That is some craptastic moderating. If the moderators want to erroneously fact check you, you have to take it.
— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) October 2, 2024
Correct a moderator who's wrong? They cut your mic.
Vance fact checked the fact checkers I love it
— Inez Stepman ⚪️🔴⚪️ (@InezFeltscher) October 2, 2024
And they cut his mic! Totally Rigged.
— Buck Sexton (@BuckSexton) October 2, 2024
This debate is a joke BUT-
Vance is still kicking all 3 of their asses up there
THATS HOW YOU DO IT @JDVance! You did NOT let the CBS moderators get away with trying to fact check you and moving on... You fact checked them.
— Kambree (@KamVTV) October 2, 2024
You nailed their ass!!!
JD Vance is not allowing them to push him around. He's politely aggressive and they can't stop him. That's my BOY!
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) October 2, 2024
It's embarrassing for the moderators when they try and fact check candidates who know more about the substance than they do.
