It looks like there won't be nationwide riots over the police killing of Dexter Reed at a traffic stop. The media seemed less concerned that Reed opened fire on the cops first and more that the cops shot too many times.
The legacy media including @washingtonpost appears desperate to manufacture a narrative to cause civil unrest reminiscent of 2020. What they intentionally don’t mention in the headline: Dexter Reed fired the first shots at police officers who pulled him over. pic.twitter.com/U0xD5ZZsJM

Why is this allowed on GoFundMe? He fired 11 times at police officers and now they want the public to pay for his family’s lawsuit. pic.twitter.com/SoWFszstlC

GoFundMe seems very particular about which causes it will support.
Julio Rosas reports there was a relatively tiny protest in front of Chicago Police headquarters, where justice-seekers said that Reed had been "overly-killed."
Protesters outside Chicago Police HQ to protest the death of Dexter Reid, who was shot by officers after shooting at them.

Speakers say police have not provided evidence Reid shot first.

One of the lawyers for Dexter Reid’s family ends her speech by saying: “I don’t care whether [Reid] shot, he should still be alive!”@FrontlinesTPUSA@TPUSA pic.twitter.com/aAIPggKRly

He would be alive if he hadn't opened fire on the police. A lawyer should care about that tiny detail.
Bodycam video showed he shot first.

The "Revolution, nothing less!" hoodies really convince me that they're there because of a particular injustice and not because they're itching to burn down police stations again.

"Overly-killed"? 🤣
— lhrnr001 (@harner_linda) April 19, 2024
That seems to be the crux of the media reporting. How many times should officers have returned fire? Should they have followed Joe Biden's advice and just shot him in the leg?

So the cop shot himself? Is that what they think?

Move on. Find another cause. Nothing to see here .

Yeah, this is not going to be the George Floyd of 2024. All the rioters are busy supporting Hamas right now.
Police should definitely be trained to kill just the right amount, rather than to "overly kill." Got it.
