AOC Says That a Ceasefire Is 'Spiritual'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sure does like to talk. I'll give her credit — she actually made mention of Hamas releasing its hostages as a condition of a ceasefire. But then she also served up some word salad … nothing quite as bad as Kamala Harris might have come up with, but still drivel.

Hamas would love a ceasefire. That would give them a chance to regroup. Just a reminder that there was a ceasefire up until October 7, and Hamas broke it in a big way. I don't know if it's because the massacre came on a Saturday while all the big-name cable news journalists were off, but they don't seem to treat the real attempt at genocide as if it really happened.

Anyway, Ocasio-Cortez made the case for a ceasefire by saying that it's "spiritual."

There were no cycles of violence, and this isn't "tit-for-tat." This is war against a terrorist invasion that slaughtered some 1,400 innocents. "Tit-for-tat" is just stupid. What was it that compelled Hamas to plan this invasion for two years if not a desire to kill all the Jews and wipe Israel off the map?

We are being called by whom to be higher than our history? And what does she mean by "our history"? Like I said, she sure does like to talk. She really should have stayed tending bar.

She's definitely not the expert on this stuff.
