We have this floating list in our heads of the dumbest members of Congress, but Rep. Eric Swalwell manages to skirt the Top 10, just barely. He does put some thought behind his sick burns on Twitter, but then he also thought he could be elected president in 2020.
Swalwell never was one to be taken seriously on gun control, and he proved it Wednesday, as reported by Townhall’s Julio Rosas. His argument? If you don’t support gun control, then you support child killers like Audrey Hale (a name that disappeared from the headlines pretty quickly). We expect our legislators to be a little more specific about what exactly they intend to do that will protect children before giving up our Second Amendment rights.
Rep. Eric Swalwell says if you don't support strict gun control laws then you support mass shooters:
"l look at this is very binary…If you’re not on the side of protecting our kids, you’re on the side of helping their killers, that’s it. You either can help the kids or help… pic.twitter.com/e1HnutIntP

“You either can help the kids or help the killers.”
If you want to reduce this to binary thinking either support the Constitution or you don't.

Let's not confuse Eric Swalwell with a deep thinker, or even a thinker for that matter.

maybe he should make his argument by releasing the Nashville shooter's manifesto?

Having a weapon is exactly how you protect the children. What a tool.

You're either doing your job and protecting our country, or you're banging a Chinese spy named fang fang.
So, you protect the country, or you bang the fang. He and shifty have been whining since they were kicked off the intelligence committee.— David B (@DavidB19784816) April 26, 2023
Chinese spy boy is a liar as usual @ericswalwell

Politicians use children, veterans, and the elderly as an emotional selling point in order to peddle their agenda. Don’t fall for it. Emotional advertising at its finest.

That’s a false dichotomy if I have ever seen one

So hes saying the country needs to pass firearms laws that are less strict then California so there aren’t mass shooters?
Meanwhile in California. pic.twitter.com/EdBPDw1x2Y

So once again admitting that the whole "Gun Free Zone" sign thing is a complete failure.

Ask him why are there no mass shootings at gun ranges. Millions of people a year (nationwide) shooting billions of rounds, LOTS of ARs, no gun violence. Virtually crime free. Why is that?

@ericswalwell does that building have armed security?
— Sam (@kbdznxawyu) April 26, 2023
Sure thing. He gets nice protection but we can't.

Dems: NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW
Also Dems: We need more gun laws
ATF Director today: "I am not going to comment" on if the smartest man Joe knows should be charged for OPENLY breaking a gun law.

Logical Fallacy: False dilemma, also referred to as false dichotomy or false binary, is an informal fallacy based on a premise that erroneously limits what options are available. The source of the fallacy lies not in an invalid form of inference but in a false premise.

I am so sick of this disingenuous argument.
It's time to turn it around and use their tactics.
"If you don't support hardening schools and adding armed security, then you support mass shooters. Why do you support killers, Democrats? Why do you want kids to get hurt or killed?"
— 🇺🇸CCP Own Silicon Valley🇺🇸 (@tweet_Harding) April 26, 2023
They expose themselves by hysterically screaming about gun control when we should be protecting schools. They don’t care about protecting schools; they care about stripping Americans of human rights. Gun grabbers are more dangerous to Americans than mass shooters

After Swalwell went after a witness at the Judiciary Committee's hearing, about minors being exploited at the border, because she was near the Capitol on January 6th (she not did attack police or stormed the Capitol) Rep. Nehls brought up Swalwell's "checkered past" with Fang… pic.twitter.com/dCnPjDkjbB
