Some clown from Media Matters declared FBI lawyer James Baker’s “exiting” from Twitter the Right’s new Benghazi — in other words, the average American would have no idea what it was, nor would they care. Still, a lot of us did care, as it seemed that Baker was vetting the Twitter files before passing them on to Bari Weiss and Matt Taibbi. Baker, of course, played a part in Russiagate and the Steele dossier.
The latest dump of Twitter files showed that the FBI was almost a “subsidiary” of Twitter, and the New York Post’s Jon Levine has taken a look at just how many Twitter executives formerly called the FBI their home:
NEW from me
James Baker was only the tip of the iceberg. Twitter's top ranks are riddled with former FBI agentshttps://t.co/YN8MPTp0Oz

Matthew Williams, who did more than 15 years at the FBI, identified himself on LinkedIN as the "Co-lead of Trust & Safety" — a job which would have made him a close associate of team leader Yoel Rothhttps://t.co/YN8MPT7pX1 pic.twitter.com/7jWGSZIdC6

Jeff Carlton worked for the FBI and CIA before joining Twitter in May 2021. His now deleted LinkedIn account says he led Twitter’s Strategic Response Team of 50+ "employees/agents" in resolving the highest-profile Trust & Safety escalationhttps://t.co/YN8MPT7XMz pic.twitter.com/vhsoo17lzr

Without any cool down, either. Most of them "ended" their employment with the feds at one month, and by next they were in key positions at Twitter.

Sure makes it easier for the FBI to censor "bad" speech when they have Twitter leadership at their Wednesday night poker game.

@elonmusk Would be interesting to know if Twitter knowingly hired these former FBI agents and for what purpose.

Huh. Just like the revolving door between Pentagon and military industrial complex, a revolving door between intel/FBI and social media. Could be both useful and problematic.
— BabbleBee (@ThankElon) December 17, 2022
Just like the revolving door between the Biden administration and MSNBC and CNN — where Baker was a legal analyst, of course.
Funny how they all worked in “Trust and Safety” pic.twitter.com/Pn0M1vKzIB

Jon, you use the word "former" when describing FBI personnel, "flocking" to twitter. How do you know they were "former" employees of the FBI & not still being paid by the bureau for their efforts?
Maybe start filing FOIA forms on continuing payments to them & see what you find.

Why, after Trump was elected, did Twitter hire over a dozen ex FBI/CIA agents and place them in Senior Management roles?

17. @elonmusk – how many "Jim Bakers" are imbedded in Twitter, possibly working against you? or….."watching" you. I'd advise you to do some investigating and clean house.

The “theory” part is no longer needed for all these conspiracies.
Turns out the tinfoil brigade was right all along.— Jason “Storm Chaser” Nelson (@Storm4Congress) December 10, 2022
And the FBI just said yesterday that it routinely works with the private sector — so you have active FBI agents communicating with their former colleagues who are now in senior positions at Twitter. No wonder they were so cozy.
