Early last month, Reuters reported from Poughkeepsie, New York that President Joe Biden was publicizing his administration’s push to have semiconductor chips manufactured in America, and that IBM was planning to invest $20 billion over the next decade to make and develop semiconductors, mainframe technology, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
October 2 was a long time ago, and on Friday, Biden had trouble remembering exactly where that IBM facility was, except that it was a little further down in the middle of New York than Syracuse, where he went to school. IBM is investing in these chips for, for serious.
BIDEN: "I was just in Syracuse, New York…before that I was in, down in, in uh, uh in, a little further down in the middle of New York at an outfit called IBM. They're investing in these chips for, for serious, anyway, I won't go through them." pic.twitter.com/VAAW0kohrB

"I won't go through them"…in other words, I can't remember.

The factory is scheduled to be built in Clay, NY. That's 15 miles north of Syracuse. I think he just wanted to insert himself into the issue.

He’ll say anything to ingratiate himself with an audience — your son died in Iraq? Mine too!
Law School? You mean that time Biden graduated in the top 95% of his class? Such a brilliant man!

Remember when Joe claimed he graduated at the top of his law school class with 3 degrees?

There's this upstart company, IBM, and they're really going all in on these computation chips. I don't trust no computation chips.

It was Poughkeepsie Gramps…but that's ok, Hochul didn't know where she was either when she tweeted about it 🤣

Imagine how much the president has to keep track of. That’s why it’s so important to keep him on the script, or he does the, “you know the thing” thing.
