We’re not sure what that has to do with the story, which is about a trans woman who was killed during a carjacking and — wait for it — “misgendered in reports of her death by local media and police statements.”

Obviously, the tweet is trying to suggest that legislation somehow is leading to the murders of trans people in Tennessee but from the report, it’s pretty clear this was a fatal carjacking.

Trans people are murdered at a rate lower than any demographic, including white women. They are safer than essentially anyone else. Black males are more than 10 times more likely to be murdered.

The reason the police "misgendered" her is because police are not here to give you the feelz.. they deal in facts. The victim was male, so they reported it thus.. sorry.
