As Twitchy reported over the weekend, last Friday night, there was a shooting outside a high school homecoming game in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, in which two teens, neither of whom was a student at the rival schools, were wounded. Both Gov. Tim Walz and gubernatorial hopeful Amy Klobuchar denounced the violence. Still, neither one mentioned rumblings that it was reportedly the doing of two Somali gangs, the “Ville” and “Muddy” gangs (which had also threatened violence at the Minnesota State Fair in August).
School resumed at Eden Prairie, but KARE reports that the school superintendent also "addressed hateful messages targeting Somali people following the shooting."
Superintendent Dr. Swanson also addressed hateful messages targeting Somali people following the shooting. “The heinous and sickening actions of a few do not define an entire community." -> https://t.co/6H1OoofW2B https://t.co/fj7KidquC2

Naasir Akailvi reports for KARE:
[Superintendent Dr. Josh] Swanson also addressed hateful messages circulating online targeting Somali people following the shooting.
“The heinous and sickening actions of a few do not define an entire community,” Swanson wrote.
He said Somali students, neighbors and community members should feel safe and welcome, adding that threats, bullying or aggression against anyone in the community will not be tolerated.
@kare11 Don't blame 100% of Somalis for the actions of 98.2% of Somalis

@kare11 Please don't hate the people who are murdering & stealing in your once peaceful neighborhoods. Instead, you should all feel super guilty for wanting safety in your city.
— Arlo Gilbert (@arlogilbert) October 5, 2026
@kare11 The worst thing about the shooting was the criticism of the shooters.

@kare11 Isn’t the bigger problem the Somali gang shootings, not the people expressing frustration about their continued occurrence? Why do you work so hard to program the public to punish the people who notice the problems instead of the violent repeat criminals?

@kare11 Can someone point me to the most prominent Somalian accounts speaking out against their people's bad behavior? I want to follow and support them!

Since you mention it, KSTP reports that metro-area Somali leaders are working on a plan to ensure peace that they hoped to have ready as soon as Monday.
Some metro-area Somali leaders are working on a plan for greater safety they expect to release Monday after a shooting outside the Eden Prairie Homecoming game Friday night. READ MORE at the link in bio. https://t.co/IGfUukeoTZ

@KSTP Yeah, the non-profits need more public dollars. What could go wrong? https://t.co/ZreguffFYr
— Dustin Grage (@GrageDustin) October 5, 2026
@KSTP This is literally a plan for more NGO taxpayer fraud under the premise of stopping their own culture’s incessant need for violence problem.
— Elliott Engen (@elliottengenMN) October 5, 2026
@KSTP Here’s their plan, give them 10 billion in tax dollars

@KSTP Some metro-area Somali leaders are working on a plan to grift more money of the taxpayers they expect to release Monday after a shooting outside the Eden Prairie Homecoming game Friday night. READ MORE at the link in bio. Fixed it for you.

@KSTP You idiots keep falling for this over and over, exact definition of insanity. You have destroyed your state and there’s no turning back.
— Chocolate lab (@kabetogama1989) October 5, 2026
@KSTP We don't believe in made up safety plans by the group that stole billions and continues to grift off of hardworking Minnesotans. We will tell you the laws we are enforcing, you don't get a special set for your "community".

@KSTP Yeah, he's got a "non-profit" that needs funding. What could go wrong?
— Patriot Grrrl (@LabrecheKristin) October 5, 2026
@KSTP They probably figured out a way to scam some more money.
— Whitey (@mnjoe1974) October 5, 2026
@KSTP That's rich the problem is going to solve the problem.
— Bad boyfriend (@Nutzy0U812) October 5, 2026
@KSTP How about promoting loss of citizenship for gang members, fraud and acts of violence?
— Dave Tyson (@DaveTyson5) October 5, 2026
@KSTP More smoke and mirrors. Because I’m sure the gangbangers are just lining up to talk about their feeling at this NGO funded by the same people whose kids can’t have a football game. The Somali leaders can GTFO with this.
— Partyofone (@partyofone77) October 5, 2026
The Somali leaders need some more tax money to figure out a way to get Somali gangs under control. They'll probably get millions to build community centers or something equally useless.
