We just did a post on Baltimore Magazine editor-in-chief Max Weiss calling out those, including Washington Times columnist Tim Young, for badmouthing her city and trying to slink away. The story has a beginning but we thought it was worth its own post, seeing as a lot of people were on board with the original sentiment.
Weiss, and the Baltimore City Health Department, were triggered after Young called their cringeworthy ad campaign to get vaccinated against the coronavirus racist and misogynistic.
Mimosas with the girls this weekend? It's a bad idea if you haven’t been vaxxed.

Racism against white women + misogyny = Baltimore City Health Department.
A shithole city with shithole ideas.

As we said, the health department was triggered; this is an actual tweet from an official government account.
“racism against white women”

Racism might be a stretch, but the ad sucks.

I don’t care that you’re banging your boss, Debs! JUST GET VACCINATED FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY

Debra’s man is the epitome of new age masculinity.

It's always uncomfortable when a man has more estrogen than his woman.

She should try dating a man https://t.co/UtmfFZehZH

No one named Debra looks this young
— Lindsay (@LBuonomano) May 8, 2021
Her name should be Karen

First you wouldn’t use the Peleton bike I bought you, now this!
Hey public officials, wrong message here…

Sexism at its worst
— Edward Moore (@Eamonicloud) May 8, 2021
Looks like an abusive relationship.
— TheSonOfLiberty (@TheSonOfLiberty) May 7, 2021
Two years ago this was an abusive relationship.
— SimulationCommander (@SimulationComm3) May 7, 2021
I read somewhere they recycled these photos from a domestic abuse awareness campaign…wouldn't be surprised if that were true
— Bronson (@Bronson00471184) May 8, 2021
So the man won’t let the woman leave the house?
— Mike (@M_jopink) May 7, 2021
He comes across as an emotionally abusive husband using the vaccine as an excuse to continue to control her. I can’t think of what else that reminds me of.
— Rose 😀 (@RoseARosey) May 8, 2021
That is just disturbing marketing.

Are white polos the new "wife-beaters?"

Rapey vibes
— John (@jsquicci) May 8, 2021
Very weird. Looks like a stock photo for a Bosnian right to life campaign.
— Good boy (@L_Producto) May 8, 2021
This would be pure gold if he was wearing a mask
— In Vino Veritas (@mollishominis) May 8, 2021
Debra’s boy probably has a STD.
— njshoregirl (@ck515) May 8, 2021
Debra is not happy! Btw, this is the whitest ad I’ve ever seen.
— hurl (@TheReal_Hurl) May 8, 2021
Not only weird. It's very sexist. Who is this man to treat her like a child and tell her what to do with her body. Imagine if this was a date and switch up the words a bit i that context. That would be considered harassment and pressure.
So weird.
— Going5DBaby (@DGoing5) May 8, 2021
Looks like Debra is getting "vaxxed" by that dude's buddy on the regular.
— MaidaInTheUSA (@MikeMaida78) May 8, 2021
Who drinks Mimosas? Is she going to a Mother’s Day brunch with a bunch of grandmas?
— SeaIslandGuy (@pkjr1967) May 7, 2021
Good question:
How is Debra a threat to the vaxxed girls?
— Dave (@dm501988) May 8, 2021
Very weird.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall in these marketing meetings when they come up with this nonsense
— Nathan Walz (@walzstreet) May 8, 2021
Check out their entire campaign, it's cringe (not to mention borderline racist): https://t.co/aM2XvI32BM

COVID is the least of Baltimore's worries.
— J.S. (@TriaPapaPia) May 8, 2021
Careful, or you might trigger the city’s health department to send another animated GIF.
