People are wondering why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn't getting the Dan Quayle treatment

The passing of former President George H.W. Bush has brought former Vice President Dan Quayle back into the limelight, and he’s been sharing his stories of working under the former president.

Of course, there’s a good chance that the only thing most people know about Quayle is that he once misspelled potato; the mainstream media at the time made sure of that, just like they tried to paint Bush as stupid and out-of-touch with a bogus anecdote that the New York Times repeated even after he’d died.

So it’s no surprise to any Twitchy reader that media bias was a very real thing even when there were only the big three broadcast networks. So if Quayle will go to his grave with nothing in the history books but “potatoe,” why is Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez getting a pass? (We know, obviously, but it’s still worth asking.)

People are just attacking her because they fear her bold new ideas, not because she doesn’t know the three branches of government.

They managed to make people (even CNN correspondents) actually believe Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house, even today.

There’s plenty of great material just sitting there, guys …
