We guess Sen. Bernie Sanders was just on a roll when describing President Trump at a campaign event Tuesday night and decided to throw in every insult he could and then add “in history” for good measure. We’re actually kind of disappointed in Sanders that he didn’t include “xenophobic” too.
Bernie Sanders: Trump is the "most racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted president in history" https://t.co/Bg3HM21SYM pic.twitter.com/gLTfQs68EY
— The Hill (@thehill) October 31, 2018
We’re still perplexed at how Barack Obama was given a total pass on his remarks about traditional marriage once the election was over and he “evolved.” But Trump’s the homophobic one?
Democrats: The rhetoric in this country needs to be toned down.
Also Democrats: We meant them, not us

Nice toned down rhetoric.
— Captain Deplorable (@DaMatterhorn) October 31, 2018
Yep, tone down the rhetoric.
— Frank Lomanno (@FLomanno) October 31, 2018
Hi Bernie thx for adding a little civility to your message
— David Peterson (@dpeterson101) October 31, 2018
So he copied Hillary’s notes?
— todd (@ToddHildebran) October 31, 2018
You’re running out things to call him???? Can’t wait for the next one?
— BigB (@BMateer4) October 31, 2018
Dems have thrown all of these terms around so frequently, frivolously, and for so long that they don’t even have any impact anymore…
— Jeff Smith (@Jeffsmith5084) October 31, 2018
Funny how he was the first person elected President who supported gay marriage when they were elected.
— Chibi William Henry Harrison (@TobytheBeagle1) October 31, 2018
Besides, “history” goes back more than a presidential term or two.
For someone who has been alive throughout most of America’s history, he seems to have forgotten a lot of it.
— Adam Bates (@AyyBates) October 31, 2018
and he should know, he was 15 when Andrew Jackson became president.

Andrew Jackson rolling over in his grave

The first Democrat Party progressive/populist president of the United States was behind the Trail of Tears.
— Jake R. (@jaker1419) October 31, 2018
Bernie Sanders is 175 years old, so he should be aware that Woodrow Wilson segregated the federal government.
— Boof Tannen (@LetItBurnUSA) October 31, 2018
We've literally had slaveholding presidents
— Aayla☭⛤? (@VelveetaSuicide) October 31, 2018
We had a president that owned black people and had them beaten if they didn’t do work he wanted them to do for free. Which is obviously not as racist as asking for someone’s birth certificate-those freaking racists asked for mine at the post office when I was getting my passport
— Teddy (@springerdawg) October 31, 2018
The first few ones owned slaves, Jackson condoned quasi genocide on native peoples, Buchanan couldn’t figure out if slavery should be abolished, Wilson was a Klansman, FDR put Japanese Americans in camps, Ike okayed Operation Wetback, Nixon spoke in dog whistle, etc.
Sure, Jan.
— Marco (@mndzmarco) October 31, 2018
Presidents who held slaves, carried out the trail of tears or literally imprisoned ever Japanese-American in the country are better in his eyes? Lol, ok.
— Suck on that, TTUN! (@Sloopyinca) October 31, 2018
We've had presidents who supported slavery and Jim Crow pic.twitter.com/r31Ov02fsa
— Gabe Vino (@slicedGabe) October 31, 2018
No, that was Woodrow Wilson.
— PariahDog119 (@PDog119) October 31, 2018
LBJ and FDR were worse
— just alan (@anythingbutdem) October 31, 2018
FDR wants you to hold his beer.
— Brian K. (@kleppy321) October 31, 2018
I guess he never heard those LBJ tapes
— Winton Dupree (@WintonDupree) October 31, 2018
…after woodrow wilson, those guys who had slaves, and andrew jackson…?
— A Woodworker ?? (@oenophil15) October 31, 2018
…and after that guy who imprisoned an entire race of Americans in WW2…

Bill Clinton was behind the laws that put more black men away than anyone can count and is a rapist and serial sexual harasser, and he and his wife were anti same sex marriage until 2013.
— Noncompliant Micah (@MicahInLex) October 31, 2018
No he is actually probably the least racist. I think Obama was the most
— Arthur McMa (@arthurmecc) October 31, 2018
I guess Bernie never heard of Andrew Jackson, FDR, or Lyndon Johnson. Hell….of any President prior to 1978…
— Bud M (@BudMusgrove) October 31, 2018
This is both a wildly ignorant and irresponsible comment by man desperately trying to cling to the spotlight.
— Kenny Hansen (@Ken_Sen) October 31, 2018
He’s aware some were slave owners right?
— James (@james___2016) October 31, 2018
Bro have you ever read a history book? You had multiple Presidents who owned slaves and a couple who were literally once in the KKK

— Antonio (@LoneStarTexian) October 31, 2018
What a bunch of malarkey
— cathryn palmieri (@catheconnors) October 31, 2018
The only plausible explanation is that Democrats try to "one up" each other to stay in the news cycle. Or @SenSanders doesn't know much history. There were plenty of truly racist Presidents in history. But hey, keep up with the absurd. Been the Democrat strategy thus far.
— Christopher (@RightOfSpectrum) October 31, 2018
@SenSanders A) that is factually untrue and B) at least he is not trying to turn America into the next failed socialist state like say Russia or Venezuela
— Mark A Thompson (@MarkAThompson14) October 31, 2018
No. He is none of those things. But you’re still an old useless communist.
— Five_? (@005_five) October 31, 2018
Says the rich socialist with three houses and never held a real job and a wife under investigation….. but he’s good at pontificating – typical limousine liberal.

That’s not entirely true …
At least he didn't sink a college in Vermont like Bernie and his wife did. Angry old man angry he lost and angry he doesn't understand economics.
