Why can’t we just have nice things?
First, “Avengers” director Joss Whedon gathered stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson to appear in spots for Save the Day, his pro-Hillary super-PAC. We all know now that star power wasn’t enough to put Clinton in the White House, and Whedon became a bit … cranky after the election, tweeting GOP rape fantasies to pass the time.
Now, “Logan” director James Mangold is asking X-Men fans to take a break from trying to work out the convoluted timeline that has allowed Hugh Jackman to star in each of the 37 X-Men movies and instead take a minute to consider a real-life hero: the Environmental Protection Agency.
I urge XMEN fans to take a break worrying about timelines & consider a plea from in the EPA. Our only protection from real villains & poison https://t.co/RIrS3Tkphl

Tell that to the people who live on the Animas River. https://t.co/fIyHJ7KLeN

It is awfully tough to take the EPA seriously after it dumped a million gallons of toxic wastewater into the Animas River in Colorado. The EPA then let nature clean up the river and got off with barely a warning when the Obama Justice Department decided not to prosecute the EPA worker responsible for turning the river orange.
Why is Mangold singling out the EPA for support? Because “Deepwater Horizon” actor J.D. Evermore passed along an unattributed horror story from inside the EPA.

The website is being reworked to reflect the new administration’s policy? That sounds like standard operating procedure when a new administration takes over, but apparently is has thousands joining in a panic over the EPA’s future.

Evermore was less than gentle with those who wanted to know more, such as the source of the information.
source?

why? Unnamed source. We don't know if it's true if can't be verified. The text clearly says on lockdown, so (1of2)

Whoa, give some warning when those leaps are coming.

Whatever you do, don’t celebrate the end of the EPA as we know it.
If the EPA can be stealthily shut down, i.e. no one notices or cares when it's gone, why should we waste money on it? Right. We shouldn't. https://t.co/3GqypluWKd

Obviously. And if Obama’s EPA dumped toxic runoff into the river, John Hickenlooper would chug down a bottle of it to prove it was safe; no harm done.
