Does POTUS know about this? Army to deploy 1,700 soldiers to Iraq this winter

On Thursday, the U.S. Army announced that 1,700 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team would be deployed to Iraq to replace soldiers who have served there since spring.

The Army says the troops will help train, advise, and assist Iraqi Security Forces.

President Obama’s been pretty busy on the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton, so it’s unclear if he managed to catch this latest development on the news.
