Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte achieves sentience, infiltrates Facebook to study the ways of humans

There’s no reason to fear Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte taking over the planet — it already has. The seasonal beverage that has separated countless consumers from their money each fall has now opened its own Facebook Messenger account (The Real PSL) so that it might communicate with the human race in its own language. Some are calling it a “chat-bot,” while others have deemed it evil incarnate.




As Frank Herbert observed in his 1965 classic “Dune,” “He who controls the spice controls the universe.” Someone was listening.

It would be unwise to taunt The Real PSL.


Is it too late for a third-party run? The Real PSL seems to have what it takes to be a serious political contender.
