For the benefit of Twitchy readers who aren’t attending or just forgot it was tonight, the Costume Institute Gala at the Anna Wintour Costume Center inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art — better known as the #MetGala — is the first celebrity-studded red carpet event since Saturday night’s #NerdProm.
While Twitchy doesn’t have a fashion category, #MetGala is topping Twitter’s trends Monday night, largely buoyed by Madonna, 57, who was running late and arrived wearing only the top half of her gown.
More accurately, it looks like any attempt at coverage on Madonna’s part was half-assed at best.
I want to be a fly on the wall for Madonna's style prep meetings. "The theme is machines? Great, I'll show my asscheeks." #MetGala

For those in need of a palate cleanser, here’s Gary Fisher exposing his bare butt and walking the red carpet at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
