As Twitchy recently reported, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson today tweeted a partially animated YouTube video meant to demonstrate just how thoroughly all of those widows and orphans are being vetted before being settled in the United States. The video doesn’t mention widows and orphans, but it does confirm that most Syrian refugees are women — and children, and families, and men — who are only in search of safety.
As movie critics, we’d rate as rather thin the scene about screening refugees thoroughly. After all, the FBI recently arrested two men, one in Sacramento and one in Houston, both of whom entered the United States as Iraqi refugees and both of whom have been accused of terrorism-related charges.

Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, 23, of Sacramento, a Palestinian born in Iraq, was arrested on charges that he allegedly traveled to Syria in 2013 to fight with various terrorist organizations, including Ansar al-Islam. He returned to the United States in 2014 and resettled in Sacramento.
Meanwhile, in Houston, the FBI arrested 24-year-old Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan, who allegedly attempted to provide material support and resources, including training, expert advice and assistance, and personnel (himself) to ISIS. He is also charged with lying about terrorist ties and weapons training when he applied to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.
