Sen. Marco Rubio expected to announce White House bid April 13 in Miami

Among the worst kept secrets in politics today is Sen. Marco Rubio’s plan to announce his bid for president April 13 most likely in Miami.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that Team Rubio has reserved the Freedom Tower in downtown Miami for an undisclosed event that day. The Times notes that the U.S. government used the Freedom Tower to assist refugees fleeing Communist Cuba after Fidel Castro seized power in 1959.
