National Review’s Kathryn Jean Lopez found herself in the Garden State Plaza Mall tonight when it was locked down after reports of an active shooter making his wall through the mall.
Apparently nordstrom does not have a "gunman here/on lockdown" button to keep the lights on at 10. But music stays on. Live from #paramus

No idea what's actually happening than running and guns, but upon hearing people may have been shot, people around me are prayerful #paramus

As of 11:20 p.m., there have been no reports of injuries or victims, nor is the mall considered an active shooting scene.
I have nothing to say other than music continues to rock on at #paramus lockdown #bizarrefact

It's not helpful for peace of mind in here reading rumors on news and twitter. People are call until "news" comes in #paramus

Police are currently clearing the mall and escorting guests and employees out of the building.
Folks are nervous in here please just say a prayer …. There is screaming. "Put your hands up." #paramus

I can see guns in the air ….. We just want this to end well.

Update:
The "put your hands up from a few ago" was for the civilians, as they try to take account of the place #paramus
